GELITA the producers of Arthred® produce sustainable bovine collagen peptides by upcycling by-products from the meat industry, specifically sourcing hide and bone from cattle approved for human consumption. Their production process operates as part of a circular economy, converting what would otherwise be waste into collagen peptides and other valuable ingredients. The production and spray-drying process of Totally Derma® bovine collagen peptides in The Netherlands was established in 2023.
